Local (number) knowledge

If you want to keep your existing home phone number you will need to submit a request to port. The process for requesting the port is completely online, and there is no need to call us to initiate the port request (in fact we cant do it for you, as you need to agree to the terms online yourself).

To request a port, please login to My Account (www.virginmobile.com.au/myaccount) using your Virgin Home Phone number and the 6 digit PIN you would have nominated when you signed up with us. Select the 'Home Number Porting' option on the left. It will take you through all of the required steps once in there, and provide you with all of the information you require.

Make sure you keep your existing service active - if you cancel your existing number before we have ported it you may lose your number! There is no need to cancel your previous service - it will automatically be cancelled when your number is successfully ported across.

Porting takes a minimum of 8-10 days and up to 30 days to complete.
